Dependent children of CMAW members attending post-secondary education are eligible to apply for a John St-Amand/Madeleine Parent Bursary from the Confederation of Canadian Unions. Bursaries are worth $500. Applications will be selected by lottery at the CCU/CSC meeting in Halifax, Nova Scotia this fall.

CMAW has secured work on the John Hart Generating Station project in Campbell River, BC. The 67-year-old dam is being modernized and the project is expected to employ 90 carpenters, mostly from CMAW Local 2020 and with a few key people coming from CMAW Local 2300.
