Dependent children of CMAW members attending post-secondary education are eligible to apply for a John St-Amand/Madeleine Parent Bursary from the Confederation of Canadian Unions.
Bursaries are worth $500. Applications will be selected by lottery at the CCU/CSC meeting in Halifax, Nova Scotia this fall.
DCM, one of our major employers in Fort McMurray, has produced a three-minute video to help recruit more workers. The video emphasizes the importance of a strong and fulfilling 'family' relationship with its workers.
CMAW has secured work on the John Hart Generating Station project in Campbell River, BC. The 67-year-old dam is being modernized and the project is expected to employ 90 carpenters, mostly from CMAW Local 2020 and with a few key people coming from CMAW Local 2300.

They never knew they were incomplete until finding each other.
They leave behind 5 children, 5 grandchildren and countless loved ones. They are so well loved and terribly missed.
